Culinary Adventures in Birmingham and London
We have been invited by Marketing Birmingham to promote our cookery classes and food tours to Olympic visitors. Of course we are more than happy to oblige especially as both the Jamaican and USA Olympic teams will be training at Birmingham University in the run-up to the Olympics. We've organised an Indian food tour of Brum (home to the Balti) and this includes a tour of Indian supermarkets, healthy Indian cookery classes followed by lunch at a South Indian pancake house. In the past we have also taken children on tours of the Bullring market followed by cookery classes at local restaurants.
We also love London and our offer will include tours of the capital city with visits to famous markets including Borough for local and homegrown food, Portobello for North African, Edgware road for Arabic, China Town for rare tea and sticky buns, classic food hall highlights...and now we are pleased to include urban farms that are using innovative methods to produce and sell food for a hungry, fragilie planet.
We'll post more details in the coming months. The 2012 offer (4 for the price of 3) will begin in April 2012.
